When you think of a fountain, the first thing that may come to mind is that large tiered beautiful piece located in your town center. Or maybe the first thing that comes to mind is a chocolate fountain. Well, we’re more talking more about the former rather than the latter. Fountains are beautiful pieces of art work that can be used in so many different ways.

You may have stumbled upon our blog looking for information sprucing up your own outdoor space, or maybe how to use a fountain in your backyard. Here are some really wonderful ideas for you to incorporate fountains into other areas that can be enjoyed by more than just your own family. Consider the place you work in. Maybe you are the person who makes the call for big additions like a fountain, or maybe you don’t. Either way, you can incorporate some of these ideas in your own life.

Natural Stress Relief

The first step is understanding why fountains are truly great, especially in areas where stress often runs high; take a hospital, doctors office, or even financial office. While each one of these places has their own types of stress, whether it be worry about a family member or making sure you make the numbers for the month. Each place has a common factor: stress.  Studies have shown that the incorporation of fountains into indoor or outdoor common locations have very soothing, calming properties.

The sound of water dancing allows people to take a few moments to “zen” out. This opportunity gives them a chance to step back and soothe themselves from within.  Fountains are also a great way to drown out unwanted noises. Fountains have a great way of making the unwanted disappear into soothing soothing sounds. Whether it’s a machine in the hospital or a loud roadway near the common area of your commercial building,

Tabletop Fountains

If you’re the person who makes the decisions and are still uncertain about the additional cost of a fountain, start small.  Tabletop fountains are a great choice for indoor waiting rooms, outdoor patios, foyers, hallways, offices, or even patient rooms. The soothing sounds of a fountain often makes sleep less restless which could be used in a hospital room. If you’ve already gone the tabletop fountain route and have decided it was loved by so many that you want to bring it outdoors, then you need to start thinking about the style you desire.

Common Area Fountains

Tiered fountains are often the main choice when placing a fountain in a large common area.  Their multiple tiers offer a louder noise as water flows in addition to creating a beautiful aesthetic landscape for all those who visit. So maybe it’s time you consider a fountain to de-stress some of the most stressful places in your life!
