Fall Seasonal Decorating

It is that time of the year, when your flowers and plants seem to start loosing their beautiful bright colors and your front or back yard seems to look a bit drab and dull. This is the time of the year when you should start thinking about some great fall or winter outdoor decorations.

Moderate Fall Temps

If you live where temperatures don’t drop below freezing, consider including a water feature into your outdoor space. Water features are great because they come in many different sizes. There’s a choice for every location. Use hanging wall fountains for very small spaces, or tabletop fountains for areas where you only have a table space. For a backyard, large tiered, or even estate size fountains can be used. A fountain can stand alone and completely change any space. The addition of dancing water adds a soothing, calming sound to even the busiest locations (like a New York terrace). It is always important to remember that cast stone and fiberglass water features should always be drained and covered with a fountain cover if you do live in an area where temperatures reach below freezing.  Considering reading more about use and care if you live in an area such as this.

Cold Weather Climates

If you do live in an area where temperatures reach below freezing, or you simply are not interested in a water fountain, consider other alternatives to create a beautiful outdoor space. Bird baths are a great option for many locations. They come in all shapes and sizes and even different materials. From lightweight fiberglass to colorful ceramic birdbaths or classic cast stone, birds will not discriminate and they will love you no matter what you choose. If you are looking to spruce up an outdoor space, consider a bird bath that has a bit more detailing. Some bird baths are so intricate that they are all you need in an outdoor space, one of our favorites is the Dragonfly Bird Bath.

Warwick Planters Garden-fountainsOther Fall Seasonal Decorating Ideas

If a bird bath isn’t what you want then garden statuary is the perfect choice for you. When you are looking to decorate for seasons, specifically fall, consider items that are autumn in nature. Many different animals will bring thoughts of the leaves changing just at first glance. These include owls, pumpkins, ravens, leaf inspired pieces, chipmunks, and even fall colored planters. These decorative pieces can easily be used outside of the home to welcome in holiday guests or even brought indoors to decorate for family gathers. One of our favorites is the Warwick Planters. The vivid fall colors of these planters, and the unique rustic style make these perfect for decorating outside with mums, or even indoors for tabletop decor. A great idea is to fill these with fall favorite flowers and give them away as a gift to those who visit during the season!

Just because the seasons are changing doesn’t mean you have to skip the decorating.  Mums aren’t the only autumn piece that can make your home stand out from all of the rest!
